Charlotte Craig

Academic Development Tutor

School of Health and Life Sciences

Charlotte Craig has been part of the GCU community since 2009, beginning her journey in the University’s international college arm in a joint venture. What started as a role teaching English for Academic Purposes soon grew into a series of leadership positions, including Manager and Academic Director, where she supported students from around the world as they found their footing in a new academic culture.

In 2021, Charlotte brought her passion for student learning and development into the School of Health and Life Sciences, joining as an Academic Development Tutor. She now works closely with students across the school, helping them grow in confidence, strengthen their academic voice, and navigate the challenges of university life. She especially enjoys seeing students realise what they’re capable of when they have the right support.

Charlotte’s research interests reflect her long-standing commitment to international education. She is curious about how students adjust—academically, culturally, and personally—when they move between learning environments. She is also enthusiastic about the possibilities of technology‑enhanced teaching and how digital tools can make learning more inclusive and engaging.
