Caroline joined GCU in January 2024, bringing a wealth of experience after more than two decades in the HE and FE sectors. She has worked in both the Scottish HE landscape (SRUC and UWS) and English (University of Reading) at Director level in the areas of External Relations, Marketing, International and Communications. Caroline also brings rich experience of a wide range of UK and international institutions as an independent consultant.
Her remit as PVC Engagement is broad, encompassing a strategic domain of civic, political and community engagement, reputation management and strategic communications, as well as working across the Executive team functions in supporting the ways in which GCU builds its identity and brings its purpose to life.
A University of Edinburgh graduate (English Language), and alumnus the Advanced Management Programme at Henley Business School, Caroline sits on a number of external advisory boards for companies operating in support of the HE sector and enjoys sharing her experience at conferences to the benefit of the sector at large; in particular along the theme of supporting women into senior leadership positions.
