Research and Knowledge Exchange ServicesDr Caitlin McDonald began working as Senior Researcher Development Officer at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2026.
She is responsible for ensuring a cohesive programme of development opportunities for researchers across the University and represents the researcher development team through internal and external networks.
With a background in both academic teaching and professional services, Caitlin has developed a passion for supporting researchers of at all levels of their career.
She previously worked at the University of St Andrews on the InFrame project, where she worked closely with teams at the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh to improve research culture through inclusive research leadership.
Prior to that, she worked as Doctoral Academy coordinator at the University of Dundee, where she supported postgraduate researcher development and progression.
