Amit Bhargava

Lay Governor

Amit Bhargava is Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Howden Group and is based in the greater Glasgow area. He is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and strategy execution processes across the enterprise.

Previously Amit was in senior leadership roles at Masco Corporation (NYSE:MAS), United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:RTX), and Danaher Corp. (NYSE:DHR) which were all based in the United States. Earlier in his career, Amit spent several years at McKinsey & Co. as a management consultant and was also a Partner at eCentury Capital, an early stage venture capital firm. He started his career as a research and development engineer at Motorola, Inc.

Amit holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
