Ambreen is a Lecturer in Vision Sciences, teaching at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
Following a period in practice as a community Optometrist, Ambreen returned to GCU in 2021 to pursue a mixed-methods PhD on educational interventions in NHS cataract surgery. Her research explores clinician and patient perspectives on current target refraction practises within Scotland.
Ambreen obtained her Independent Prescribing qualification in 2023 and was appointed as a Lecturer in 2024. She continues to work both in practice and the University, where her teaching focuses on developing students’ clinical understanding and skills across all levels.
