Amanda Lathan

Dr Lathan’s research involves autobiographical memory retrieval including interventions to improve memory specificity in psychopathology. She also examines self-compassion and contexts in which state self-compassion changes. Current research interests include deep memory processing, dysfunctional beliefs, and the malleability of state self-compassion, and involve collaborations with academic colleagues in the UK and Japan.

In addition to publishing in peer-reviewed journals, Amanda has been interviewed by National Public Radio (NPR; USA) and has had her work written about in Forbes Magazine. She has also presented her work at national and international conferences.
