To meet the targets for recording data to prepare for the Paisley for UK City of Culture 2021 bid, Renfrewshire Council has commissioned the Moffat Centre to collect visitor data from local visitor attractions to create a baseline within the cultural sector in both Paisley and the wider Renfrewshire area.

The Moffat Centre is currently assisting the Paisley 2021 bid team to evaluate the current trends in the cultural and visitor attraction sector, by providing an evaluation monitor for Paisley and Renfrewshire.

The primary objective of this research is to gain a better understanding of the impact of the sector on the local economy and to provide useful data for both the local council and the visitor attractions themselves.
