Our research

The Research Centre for Health (ReaCH), in the School of Health and Life Sciences, was launched in February 2021 and provides a hub for research excellence at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Glasgow Caledonian University has a global reputation as a leader in health research with real-world impact, making a difference to people’s lives at home and abroad. 91% of research carried out by the centre was deemed world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest UK-wide research assessment Research Excellence Framework results.

ReaCH is structured around three interconnected themes:

  • Targeted therapeutics
  • Rehabilitation
  • Public health.

The enablers include:

  • PPI and co-production
  • Statistics and methodologies
  • Laboratory infrastructure
  • Data analysis and bioinformatics
  • Ethics and governance
  • Clinical infrastructure.
