Founder of TTM Coaching

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on GCU alumna Natalie Neilson, Founder of TTM Coaching. TTM offers coaching solutions to help organisations tackle people and HR challenges. As a coaching marketplace, it also connects ICF-accredited coaches to clients, community, and growth opportunities.

After working in both large organisations and startups, Natalie founded TTM in 2023. Despite a strong desire to “learn more, grow more, and give more,” she often found traditional environments limiting. A turning point came while working at a coffee startup, where she noticed that leadership styles directly influenced store performance. This insight sparked her interest in coaching and leadership development.

During the pandemic, a panic attack led Natalie to re-evaluate her mindset and focus inward. The transformation she experienced inspired her to help others do the same.

"TTM Coaching was born from the belief that we can't solve the world's problems with the same thinking that created them and that life is better when we actively pursue growth, because when we do the work on the inside, the impact is felt on the outside, creating the ‘ripple effect’ of positive change.”

Natalie finds her greatest success in the impact her work creates; helping people improve both professionally and personally through greater self-awareness and meaningful action. She also embraces the challenges of entrepreneurship:

“Whilst business can be challenging, that's what makes it fun! Trying to build awareness, doing as much as you can with limited expertise, budgets, and resources... It's all part of the experience, so it's important to embrace it because when you ‘fail’ you learn.”

Recognising that being a founder can feel quite lonely, Natalie joined the GCU Entrepreneurial Hub in early 2025. She’s enjoyed working from the Glasgow campus and reconnecting with the university community:

“It's great to work in the amazing hub facilities and be around other entrepreneurs and GCU team. The staff at GCU are so supportive and accommodating, and it's always a fun, nostalgic experience being back on campus as an alumna, 10-15 years later. The energy and atmosphere are always warm and exciting.”

DO IT! Stepping out into the unknown can feel scary, but that's when you find out who you are and what you're truly capable of. Entrepreneurship is a fast-track pass to personal growth. Over time, you realise it's not so much about the work you do, but the work that the work does to you. The person you become in the process is the real result.
