Professor Mick O'Connor

Professor Mick O'Connor is an entrepreneur, Chartered Engineer and technology innovator with more than four decades of experience across aerospace, defence, energy, financial services and emerging technology sectors.

Beginning his career as an apprentice welder in the Clyde shipyards, he went on to found HAELO, a technology company specialising in governance, risk and compliance solutions.

As an Honorary Professor at Glasgow Caledonian University, Mick is passionate about helping students and graduates develop entrepreneurial mindsets and build the technology businesses of the future. A strong believer in lifelong learning, his career exemplifies resilience, innovation and the value of education in creating opportunity.
