Directorate of Governance and Academic Quality
The Directorate of Governance and Academic Quality brings together services and areas of activity relating to governance and legislative compliance, committee secretariat, academic regulations and academic quality assurance. The service includes:
- Secretariat and administrative service to Court, Senate and their Standing Committees
- Statutory and governance advice
- Academic governance and regulations
- Academic quality assurance and enhancement including ELIR; ELISR; Programme Approval and Review and appointment of External Assessors
- Administration of academic appeals, plagiarism, student discipline and student complaints process
- Managing the insurance portfolio
- Legal services
- Compliance with the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts
- Institutional Records Management
