Using the GCU London Library

Borrowing

Your student ID card is also your library card. You can’t borrow books without it. Use the self-service machine to borrow and return books, just follow the on-screen instructions. Users can borrow books for two-week periods. Items will automatically renew for a period of 14 weeks unless they are requested by another user. Students, staff and researchers can borrow a total of 20 items.

GCU London students can request books from the Sir Alex Ferguson Library on our Glasgow campus which are not available in GCU London or as an ebook. Ask in person at the GCU London Library or email gculondonlibrary@gcu.ac.uk with the titles required. Do not use the place hold link on the library catalogue.

For books or journal articles not available at GCU, apply for an inter-library loan or use the SCONUL Access scheme to borrow books from other local university libraries.
