Jack joined the Yunus Centre in 2015. His research interests include: Work Integration Social Enterprise, Employment, Communities, Rurality.

Jack’s research concerns the role of Scottish work integration social enterprises in the health and well-being of individuals disadvantaged in the labour market. Jack employs a Q methodological approach to gather perspectives about job quality amongst those experiencing disadvantages and ties this together with how WISEs negotiate aspects of job quality. Prior to joining the Yunus Centre Jack achieved a BSc in Sport and Active Lifestyles Promotion and an MSc in Social Business and Microfinance, both from GCU. At the beginning of 2019, Jack started working as a Research Associate at the Centre for Work, People and Organisational Practice at Nottingham Trent University before returning to work at GCU in mid-2020.

Jack won the 2018 People’s Choice Award at the 3 Minute Thesis competition at GCU.
