Glasgow Caledonian Univeristy
Maeve joined the Yunus Centre as a PhD student in November 2019. Her research examines how different discourses and embedded ideas influence the development and operationalisation of social enterprise policies and strategies globally. Supported by a grant from the Scottish Government, this project specifically focuses on the evolution of social enterprise policy in Scotland and seeks to assess the efficacy of policy co-production in Scottish and international contexts. Professor Michael Roy, Dr. Gillian Murray, and Yvonne Strachan CBE jointly supervise this research.

A graduate of the University of Virginia (U.Va.) in the United States, Maeve holds a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) and a B.A. in Global Development Studies and Government. At U.Va. her research focused on participatory development strategies and increasing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. She currently works part time as the Strategic Policy Adviser for Social Enterprise World Forum where she leads international social enterprise policy and strategy development and youth engagement initiatives.
