Bobby Macaulay

PhD Student
Glasgow Caledonian University
Bobby began his PhD Research in 2016 following the completion of his work on the CommonHealth programme of research based at the Yunus Centre. His Wellcome Trust-funded doctoral research considers the effect of community land ownership on rural health, with a particular focus on health inequalities within and between communities. He aims to contribute extensive empirical evidence to the debate on land reform in Scotland in an attempt to critically evaluate its impact upon individuals and communities.

Prior to working at GCU, Bobby worked in education and development in Southern Africa. He graduated with an MA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Sustainable Rural Development from the University of the Highlands and Islands.
