Francesca Calo

Francesca is a researcher and project manager on the European funded Horizon 2020 projects, “SIRIUS - Skills and Integration of Migrants, Refugees and Asylum seekers in European labour markets”. Her research interests include social enterprise, impact evaluation methods (systematic review and realism evaluation), public health and non profit organisation. Francesca has also been involved in the evaluation of Strategic Public Social Partnership in Scotland, the evaluation of COOL Music intervention and the analysis of policy claims in the European funded project “TransSOL -Transnational solidarity at time of crisis”.

Francesca joined the Yunus Centre in October 2013 to undertake a PhD aiming at exploring the potential to transfer methods conventionally used in evaluating health interventions to social enterprise based community health initiatives. Prior to joining the Yunus Centre, she worked as a practitioner in a social enterprise for one year (ImpactHub) and as a research fellow in CERGAS - Bocconi University for two years. Francesca received her Double Degree MSc (International Management) from Bocconi University (Italy) and Fudan University (China).
