Eilidh Finlayson

Eilidh’s current research focusses on social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, as part of CommonHealth project funded by MRC/ESRC. Prior to this, she joined the Yunus Centre in 2017 as lead researcher on a Social Innovation Fund Project working with social enterprises in Midlothian.

Eilidh completed her MA (hons) Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh in 2007 and has since worked in social enterprise in Scotland and Australia. She has experience of the ins-and-outs of running a social enterprise, delivering one-to-one support for disadvantaged young people as well as national-level stakeholder engagement.

In 2016, Eilidh received a scholarship to study on GCU’s MSc Social Business and Microfinance programme. She is interested in action-oriented community-based projects and is passionate about community development.
