The University is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with the Students' Association to remove graduation fees for all GCU students from next summer.

GCU Student President Eilidh Fulton congratulated the University for acting positively following a strong, student-led campaign.

She said "I am absolutely delighted to have worked alongside the other Full-Time Officers to secure this agreement with the University to remove graduation fees for all students from summer 2020. Such a positive outcome has been the result of the strong partnership working between the Students' Association and the University."

In response, Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Pamela Gillies CBE FRSE said: "We have always valued the strong, collaborative working relationship we have with our Students' Association, and we're very pleased to have reached this agreement."

The change will come into effect next year and applies to all GCU students from next summer, whether graduating in person or in absentia at ceremonies in Glasgow and London. The charges for 2019 remain in place.

More information on what the change means for students can be found on the Students' Association website.
