Information Governance Committee

The revised Information Governance Committee was established in 2017 (the former ICG which ran from 2015-2016 is now the Information Management Forum.)  The Committee is chaired by the University Secretary and members are at Executive level. Terms of Reference

    1. Provide strategic direction for cultural change to ensure adherence to good practice in information management, risk and security.
    2. Oversee information risk and ensure that systems are in place to identify high-risk areas of information processing that require policy review, data sharing agreements and privacy impact assessments.
    3. Oversee the management of risks and implementation of strategy/policy associated with legislative developments relating to information management and security.
    4. Receive reports, and make recommendations on actions, following any serious breaches of data protection legislation or any matter referred to the Information Commissioner's Office or the Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner
