Neena is the Chair of NHS Lanarkshire which provides health services across Lanarkshire to a population of over 650,000.
A graduate of Glasgow University, Neena is a qualified Careers Guidance Adviser and has previously worked in the Equalities field within Education and as a Training Consultant.
She has significant experience in leading transformational change, equality and social justice matters and is passionate about supporting people to fulfil their potential.
In her Health Board role, Neena is contributing to a number of national areas of work including the Leadership Talent Management and Succession Planning of Senior Executives/Managers and the development of Board Members to enhance their understanding of good governance.
Neena has served on the Board of various Public Bodies, charitable and voluntary sector organisations, including the Broadcasting Council for Scotland, National Museums Scotland and BBC Children in Need, gaining wide ranging experience in corporate governance and strategic management.
She was a Governor of the Board of The Glasgow Academy for 6 years and Chair of its Education Committee.
In 2014, she was privileged to be commissioned as a Depute Lieutenant for Lanarkshire and is Vice Chair of the Lieutenancy of Lanarkshire’s Community and Voluntary Organisations Committee.
Neena is Chair of the People Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.
