Gordon JackGordon Jack graduated in economics from St Andrews University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1973. He trained with Coopers & Lybrand, later to become PricewaterhouseCoopers, and worked in Glasgow, London, Iran and Abu Dhabi. He specialised during different times of his career in auditing, taxation, management consultancy and risk management, eventually becoming a senior partner in Scotland prior to his retirement from the firm in 2005.

Gordon served on the Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland from 2001 to 2008, and chaired its Executive Board from 2004 to 2007. He is currently vice-chair of the ICAS Foundation and chair of the TPE Exam Board.
Since retiring, Gordon has had a significant involvement in the independent schools sector, chairing the Board of Governors of The Glasgow Academy until November 2012, and sitting on the Board of Governors of The Scottish Council for Independent Schools and The Association of Governing Boards of Independent Schools. He is a panel member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Disciplinary Tribunal and a board member of the Capital Theatres Trust in Edinburgh.

Gordon is married with two children, one of whom is a Glasgow Caledonian University graduate. His outside interests include golf, travel, reading and learning to play the piano.

Gordon is Chair of GCNYC Board of Trustees, a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
