Gordon Reid MBE

Grand Slam singles champion and Paralympic gold medallist Gordon Reid MBE was served an honorary doctorate in recognition of his work to promote wheelchair tennis globally.

Gordon has won titles at Wimbledon, the US Open, the French Open and the Australian Open, making history as the first British men’s wheelchair player to earn a world No 1 senior ranking and the first to win a Grand Slam singles title. Gordon also won the first men’s singles title at Wimbledon, taking the men’s doubles title in the same tournament.

Everyone goes through tough times in life. It is possible to overcome adversity and break down the barriers placed in front of you. You shouldn't set limits on yourself or what is possible.
