Our students shared their life-saving CPR skills at Go Live! at the Green, an event which brought together sport, fitness, health and the arts during the European Championships.

They joined Save a Life for Scotland alongside volunteers from organisations including Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland, the British Red Cross and the British Heart Foundation to pass on life-saving lessons to hundreds of children and families.

Researcher and PhD Social Work student Natalia Farmer advised Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard on the plight of asylum seekers facing eviction in Glasgow.

She was invited to a Scottish Refugee Council roundtable discussion after giving evidence to the Scottish Government’s Equality and Human Rights Committee, which informed the report, Hidden Lives – New Beginnings: Destitution, asylum and insecure immigration status in Scotland.
