David Duke MBE

David Duke MBE, who was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science, is founder and CEO of Street Soccer Scotland, a social enterprise that uses football to support socially disadvantaged people.

David, who has been homeless himself, is also the founder of Change Centre Scotland, which tackles homelessness through personal development and self-management centres, and he works with a range of other bodies to improve the lives of homeless people.

A regular contributor at the international Doha Goals Forum, he has spoken at events such as TEDx and Beyond Sport Global Summit and is an ambassador for the Homeless World Cup and the charity Quarriers, as well as and an Advisory Board Member at UNICEF (Scotland).

In 2012 he was named Sunday Times’ Change Maker of the Year and, in 2016, as a CNN Hero. He was awarded an MBE in 2018.
