This year has been one of transformation and celebration for Glasgow Caledonian University.
In Glasgow, the landmark £32m Heart of Campus project was completed, bringing GCU bright new student spaces and contributing to the University’s sustainability initiatives. And in a ground-breaking move, the University was awarded a charter by New York State Education Department (NYSED) to become a degree-granting body in New York. GCU’s Manhattan campus – Glasgow Caledonian New York College (GCNYC) – has already welcomed students and the University is proud to be the first foreign higher education institution to achieve this status.
The University had further reason to celebrate as Times Higher Education ranked it for the first time in its world’s top 150 young universities and among the top universities globally in its World University Rankings. GCU’s inclusion in the prestigious rankings highlights the enormous strides it has taken as an institution, particularly in the fields of research and international activity.
