Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Social Impact

Programme Description

"Entrepreneurs are born, not made" is a phrase that has been the subject of discussion and articles for quite some time. What is necessary for an entrepreneur to be successful is that they have an understanding of the tasks they will need to control to operate effectively and efficiently.  This study route will explore the business constraints that all businesses must address but through the use of a team-based exercise the student will work with others to create an entrepreneurial concept and plan a robust approach schedule of actions that will lead to success of the concept.

In practice there is seldom a “perfect” solution to an identified opportunity so to ensure there is as much reality to the project the academic approach will be by blended learning using a mixture of lectures, seminars and practical workshops.  Practical sessions will be linked to lecture subjects incorporating problem based learning strategies and e-learning material.
