"...facilities are excellent and accessible..."

Why did you choose your programme at Glasgow Caledonian?

The course was a natural progression from the HND in Computing Technical Support which I attained at college.

What are you enjoying most about life at the university?

The university is a very relaxed environment and it is extremely easy to feel totally at home. I spend a great deal of time in the Sir Alex Ferguson Library, meeting with fellow students and studying. The facilities are excellent and, most importantly, accessible to all without any sense of intimidation often found in other similar large institutions.

What are you enjoying most about your programme?

The most enjoyable aspects for me so far are both the Ethical Hacking and Digital Forensics modules. Taking these modules has opened my eyes to the world around me and helped steer my career towards the digital security sector.

What is your best experience so far?

Working in the Ethical Hacking Labs and putting my knowledge into practice.

What advice do you have for people considering applying to Glasgow Caledonian?

Do it! I am now 35 years old and have had the opportunity to return to study. People considering GCU now should grasp the opportunity with both hands. Don't give yourself reason for regrets!

What single word sums up your experience so far?

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

After graduating with Honours, I aim to continue to MSc level with a view to working in digital security, possibly in a law enforcement forensics environment.
