Scottish Power Masters Scholarships

ScottishPower will provide scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year for postgraduate studies at universities in the United Kingdom 

Scholars will benefit from:

  • Payment of enrolment costs at the university
  • A monthly payment of £1,200 per month

The Scholarship will have a maximum duration of one calendar year from the beginning of the studies programme.

ScottishPower will also provide local support to the scholarship recipients where appropriate. The amounts of the Scholarship will be paid in the currency of the country of origin UK Students in GBP

Scholarships are available for study in the area of Energy and Environment in the UK in 2020-21

 These scholarships, provided by Scottish Power, are available in the following areas:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering
  • Renewable/Sustainable Energy
  • Onshore/Offshore Renewable Engineering
  • Environmental Sciences/Climate Change
  • Global Energy Management
  • Computer Science and Software Engineering
  • Cyber Security and Information Security
  • Big Data Analytics and Data Science

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of the United Kingdom, and hold a good undergraduate degree.

Applicants must be intending to commence a full-time, on campus taught masters programme at Glasgow Caledonian University,  or be expecting to progress to the final year of an integrated masters programme such as MEng  (preferred programmes subject to confirmation for 2019-20)

Scholars will benefit from:

  • Payment of enrolment costs at the university
  • A monthly payment of £1,200 per month
  • Company mentor
  • Assistance with identifying an industry related project to assist with their academic studies
  • Exciting career prospects

In return for the scholarship, Scottish Power are looking for each scholar to:

  • Promote career opportunities available within the company
  • Act as a STEM ambassador for the industry
  • Introduce future scholarship applicants to the scheme
  • Support any recruitment activities agreed on campus
