What is the scholarship

  • Full tuition fee Scholarship up to £15,000 
You must have an offer to study a Masters programme at GCU (Glasgow or London Campus) commencing January 2021 and be able to detail how you will be covering your living costs in line with UKVI visa regulations
 

This scholarship has been of great benefit by propelling me towards the achievement of my career aspirations .GCU indeed provides world class education which has undoubtedly shaped my level of judgement and an interest in research. Who can apply

Any International student who can demonstrate how they have contributed to the ‘Common Good’ and are looking to commence studies in January 2021 on a Masters course in either our Glasgow or London campus.

As part of the application you will be required to submit a video of no longer than 2 minutes telling us about yourself and how you have contributed to the common good. Please detail the link of your Youtube or Vimeo video on the application form. 

You will be required to sign and agree to the Ambassadors Charter which will be requirements that the successful applicants must undertake that are noted below 

  • record 3 vlogs/blogs about your experience as a student of GCU 
  • at least 1 social media takeover e.g instagram live
  • be in attendance and adopt an ambassadorial role at our open days/ open afternoons for GCU London
  • 1 hour per week as a Unibuddy helping answer prospective students' questions about life at GCU

This scholarship is very competitive so please ensure your application details the impact your Common Good activity has made.

  • Have you helped others less fortunate?
  • Have you set up a project designed to help your community?
  • Have you volunteered?
  • Detail your financial need and how you will support your living costs in line with UKVI requirements 
  • Please detail how you would like to further impact the Common Good after graduating

Terms and conditions

  • Must hold an offer of study with GCU before applying or the application will be rejected
  • You must be able to cover your living costs in line with the UKVI requirements when applying for a Visa 
  • All awards are non-transferable to any other programme or academic session if you are awarded the scholarship.
  • Only applicants on a Full Time Taught Postgraduate Masters course are eligible to apply.
  • No late applications will be accepted.
  • Video Link must be submitted or application will be automatically be rejected.

By applying to the scholarship you are agreeing to the role of Ambassador and undertaking the Ambassdors Charter of GCU,

You will be required to sign a consent form for video, audio and photography with copyright notice.
