GREAT Scholarships

Are you considering a postgraduate degree in the UK? A GREAT scholarship could be for you!

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by Glasgow Caledonian University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council.

We are offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from  Egypt and Nepal who will enrol into UK higher education institutions in the 2022-23 academic year. Three scholarships are available

GREAT Scholarships

The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Award

Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

At GCU, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of Egypt and Nepal who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.  

GREAT Scholarships for justice and law

The GREAT Scholarships for justice and law is a new time-limited programme from the Study UK campaign and the Ministry of Justice.

The GREAT Scholarships for justice and law are jointly funded by Glasgow Caledonian University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council.

We are offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from  India who will enrol into UK higher education institutions in the 2022-23 academic year.

 

Who can apply?

You must meet the criteria below 

  • Hold an offer of a place for an eligible postgraduate taught programme (September 2022 intake only)
  • Be classed as International students for fee purposes (Egypt, India and Nepal )

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree

Terms and conditions

You must hold an offer of study for one of the programmes listed above at GCU beginning in September 2022 before applying or your application will be rejected

If you are an International student you must be able to cover the balance of your tuition costs and your living costs in line with the UKVI requirements when applying for a Visa

Awards will not be transferred to any other academic session other than September 2022
