Postgraduate Loan Scheme for students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland

Study at Glasgow Caledonian University and save up to £10,000 per year with the new UK Government Postgraduate Loans Scheme.

From 1 August 2016, the UK government will award postgraduate loans for masters study in the UK. These postgraduate loans offer students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland up to £10,000 per year off taught or research postgraduate study across all subject areas.

Study in Scotland 

The UK postgraduate loan scheme is eligible for all postgraduate masters degrees beginning 1 August 2016 onwards. This includes full-time, part-time, distance learning, taught and research study across the UK, including Scotland.

Postgraduate loan eligibility

Borrow up to £10,000 per year

Postgraduate students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland can borrow up to £10,000 per year or up to £5,000 per year part-time.

Funds are provided in three instalments per year. Repayment is based on 6% of income over £21,000 per year, commencing from April 2019. Interest charged at RPI+3%.
