Responsible Business and Leadership Webinar

Explore Responsible Business and Leadership with the Glasgow School for Business and Society, GCU

Tuesday 30 November 5:00pm - 6:00pm GMT

Glasgow Caledonian University’s Dr. Alec Wersun, Senior Lecturer and Glasgow School for Business and Society Lead for the Common Good will be presenting a webinar next week exploring ‘Responsible Business and Leadership’.  Find out why studying business and management is more than learning how to make a profit, and why employers are now looking for graduates that are equipped to become the responsible leaders for the future we all want. Speakers will discuss the wider role of business in society, and the benefits of choosing a business or management degree that goes way beyond the profit motive by incorporating the values of global social responsibility.  The Responsible Business and Leadership webinar will offer insights into the following questions:

•     How do business and management schools differ?

•     What is meant by the terms ‘responsible leadership’ and ‘responsible business’?

•     What skills and attributes are business employers looking for?

•     What students should be looking for when choosing their business or management degree?

How to Register

We will be running the webinar through Microsoft Teams and will be sending out the link to the webinar 24 hours before via e-mail to registrants.  If you want to join the conversation please register for the session by following the link and providing details.  The session will also be recorded and a link to watch will be provided to those who are unable to attend the live session.  Questions can be submitted to us live on the chat or in advance via our email address international@gcu.ac.uk.  Join the webinar Tuesday 30 November 5:00pm - 6:00pm GMT via Microsoft Teams and have your chance to ask questions on Responsible Business and Leadership and the GSBS programmes at GCU.

Parents' guide to higher education

Students clearly benefit from the support of their parents/guardians and other family members as they make the transition into higher education, particularly if they are about to leave home for the first time. We also understand that not every family has personal experience of higher education and doesn’t always know what to expect. Our parents' guide to higher education can hopefully help answer some of these questions. You can view and download the Parent Guide 2020.

Accommodation

Our accommodation team are on hand throughout the year to answer any questions you may have. You can email them at: accommodation@gcu.ac.uk . We also have a handy Accommodation Booklet that you can download.
