Summary of Content

This module provides the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out Industry based project work. It provides greater assistance for taking up the 'Project' module of the following semester. The critical study report, to be submitted as a part of continuous assessment, will provide input to the 'project' to be chosen in the following semester.


This module will be a link between theoretical knowledge and technical practices. The student is expected to have knowledge of core modules studied in the previous semesters in the program such as, Structural Engineering Water Engineering Transportation Engineering Surveying Construction Technology Project Management Contract Administration

On completion of this module a student should be able to:Develop Knowledge in other disciplines associated with construction industry. Teaching / Learning Strategy

The main teaching method will be based on attending guest lectures by experts from industries for five weeks from the date of commencement of the semester and remaining weeks to be utilized for visiting industry.
