Pre-Requisite Knowledge

This module is intended for incoming exchange students. The candidate will demonstrate they have sufficient prior project work where the elementary and basic methods/practices have been previously applied by the candidate. The subject of the prior study should be a related topic to the objective of the proposed project.

Summary of Content

Personal project or work related experience within a School of EBE subject area appropriate to the student's home programme, to develop social and interpersonal skills, including time management and study skills at a level appropriate to the programme and the credit value of the module.

Teaching / Learning Strategy

As determined by the student and the EBE Programme Leader in consultation with the student's home institution. The project would be sufficiently in-depth and innovative to be termed advanced yet not necessarily of full research status. Examples could be: provide valuable input to the supervisor's research specialism; philosophical assessment of difference between the candidate's home country and the UK in the chosen field that will aid understanding at university level; develop and apply actual innovative methods/practices that could be applied in a global and/or national context; etc.
