Entry requirements

These are minimum general requirements only. Please refer to the relevant degree pages for essential subject requirements and grade ranges. Advanced entry is only possible where qualification aligns with degree.

Undergraduate

  • Minimum 60% in each subject from XII Standard exams
  • Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 can be considered with equivalent study from Bachelor's degree

Postgraduate taught

  • Four year Bachelor's degree (50% minimum; second class average over course duration)
  • Three year Bachelor's degree (60% minimum; first class average over course duration)

English language requirements

To study at the University you must also provide evidence of your English language ability. For programmes requiring an IELTS 6 with no element below 5.5 (or equivalent), we can accept 70% in standard XII English as evidence of English language. In some cases for postgraduate applicants, we may be able to accept a Medium of Instruction letter if their previous undergraduate study was taught in English. 

Further details of English language requirements are available. Students who wish to join a programme with a higher English language requirement must provide a SELT result/certificate as evidence of English.

GCU has alumni ambassadors around the world who kindly volunteer to provide current or prospective students with practical advice on what to expect when they arrive at GCU and how to make the most of their time at university.  

Furthermore, the ambassadors are a point of contact for GCU alumni based overseas and can offer useful tips on settling into a new country or setting up an event or networking opportunity.
