These are minimum general requirements only. Please refer to the relevant programme pages for essential subject requirements and grade ranges. Advanced entry is only possible where qualification aligns with the course.

  • Arkkitehti; Diplomi-insinoori; Proviisori (5-year long-cyle degree) with a minimum score of 3 out of 5, 1 out of 3, Tyydyttava, OR Nojaktig
  • Kandidaatti / Kandidat (5-year long-cylde degree before 1996 or 3-year post 2005) with a minimum score of 3 out of 5, 1 out of 3, Tyydyttava, OR Nojaktig

English language requirements

To study at the University you must also provide evidence of your English language ability.

We accept the Studentexamensbetyg or Ylioppilastutkintotodistus English Qualification at Grade 5 or magna cum laude approbatur (M) for programmes that require an IELTS score of 6 with no element below 5.5

Further details of English language requirements are available. Students who wish to join a programme with a higher English language requirement must provide a SELT result/certificate as evidence of English.

Alumni ambassadors

GCU has alumni ambassadors around the world who kindly volunteer to provide current or prospective students with practical advice on what to expect when they arrive at GCU and how to make the most of their time at university.  

Furthermore, the ambassadors are a point of contact for GCU alumni based overseas and can offer useful tips on settling into a new country or setting up an event or networking opportunity.
