China Entry Requirements

These are minimum general requirements only. Please refer to the relevant programme pages for essential subject requirements and grade ranges. Advanced entry is only possible where qualification aligns with programme.

Qualifications and grades

Undergraduate

  • Gaokao – 450/750 (or 60% of the total mark if total is not out of 750) for direct entry to year 1
  • Gaokao – 525/750 (or 70% of the total mark if total is not out of 750) for direct entry to year 2
  • Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate at minimum 70% in each subject for Level 1 entry
  • Zhuanke / Dazhuan and Gaozhi suitable for Level 2 or 3 entry
  • Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 possible with equivalent study from Bachelor's degree programme

Postgraduate Taught

For entry to our MSc and MBA programmes, we typically accept 4-year Bachelor's Degree at grade 65% from a Tier One University and 70% from Tier 2 or 3 University. Please check individual course pages for details. Full grade equivalencies are listed below.

A 3-year Junior College plus a 2-year undergraduate degree can also be considered.
