Sharing social enterprise expertise

University managers visit the Europe Office

Senior managers from universities in Panama and Guatemala are visiting GCU to learn more about the University’s approach to social enterprise and innovation.

The delegates, from Universidad Catolica Santa Maria la Antigua, Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, and Universidad de San Carlos, are visiting GCU’s Europe Office with the Alfa project BUILD. The programme is designed to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation in Central American institutions. As well as meeting GCU staff, the delegates visited Scottish Enterprise in Glasgow and Social innovation incubator The Melting Pot in Edinburgh.

GCU’s EU Funding Executive Mark Anderson, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity, not only for the Central American’s to see how GCU is embedding enterprise and innovation within its’ culture, but also to explore opportunities for further collaboration and exchange.”
