GCU launches International Partnerships Office

Glasgow Caledonain University’s (GCU) International Partnerships Office (IPO) has celebrated its official launch.

The IPO, which brings together the International Partnerships Team and Exchange and Study Abroad Team, combines existing partnership activity related to student and staff mobility with a new service created to facilitate and support relationships with overseas institutions to further develop GCU’s international activity.

Working closely with Schools, the Governance and Quality Enhancement Office, the International Office and The Europe Office, as well as many other key support departments, the IPO is a focal point for international partnership development. In addition, the IPO is responsible for GCU’s International Summer School and recruitment from the US and Europe. 

Susan McGiffen, Director of Admissions and International Partnerships, said: “Developing sustainable partnerships with high-quality institutions around the world is a key element of Glasgow Caledonian University’s Internationalisation Strategy. The International Partnerships Office is dedicated to growing the University’s global relationships through articulation and pathway partnerships, student and staff mobility, and overseas campus partnerships, and we aim to support GCU’s staff and students to engage with our international partner institutions around the world to build on our increasing global presence.”
