Real Estate Summer School

Monday 19th August to Friday 30th August 2019

The Real Estate Summer School delivered by the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment (SCEBE) at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has been designed for students who have received a conditional offer to level 2 of the BSc (Hons) Real Estate programme.

The Real Estate Summer School is delivered on a full-time basis over two weeks, 10am-4pm each weekday with an hour for lunch.  Attendance is compulsory and there is no cost. Students should report to room CEE 1 in the Centre for Executive Education Building (Campus Map: http://bit.ly/GCUCampus) at 9.30am on Monday 19th August when an overview of the structure and content of the Real Estate Summer School will be presented.

Students will cover essential content from our Valuation of Property 1 module, which is pre-requisite for level 2 entry.

Each teaching session will consist of a mixture of lectures and tutorials. During lectures students will be expected to take notes and at tutorials tackle additional exercises with staff on hand to answer questions. A compulsory open book exam will be completed on the final day (Friday 30th August) which students must pass to meet their conditions of entry.

Throughout the summer period our admissions team will invite all eligible students to the Real Estate Summer School as and when HN results are officially confirmed. Admissions at GCU obtain official confirmation of results from colleges or the SQA. The School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment will then contact students by email in the run up to the Real Estate Summer School with any additional information.
