How to Apply

Applying for university is not as complicated as it sounds and there is lots of support available to help you complete the application process successfully.

When applying through UCAS, all applications, including references, should be received by the 15th January of the year you wish to start the programme.

Our UCAS code is GCU G42. You will find the code for your chosen degree course by selecting the relevant programme.

How do I apply for advanced entry?

Some students who have completed an HNC/D may enter their course at level 2/3, a process known as advanced entry. When you are applying to GCU through UCAS online, the year of entry should be made clear in the ‘choices’ section where it indicates ‘point of entry’.

When applying to second or third year of a programme, you should enter the year in this box. For example, if you are applying to start in year two, put 2 in the box.

Before I apply can I visit the University to have a look around?

Our College Student Open Event takes place in October each year and we encourage all prospective students and applicants to come along. There are also a number of undergraduate open days held at the university.
