Report and Support

Report and Support is an online reporting tool for our students to submit a report about misconduct they experience on campus. GCU is dedicated to identifying and tackling inappropriate behaviour, whenever it arises. No one in our community should ever be the focus of gender based violence, sexism, racism, discrimination, assault, bullying, harassment or any other offensive conduct.

By reporting an incident you experience or witness, you could help prevent something similar from happening to someone else.

Help make GCU a better place. Tell us about your experience.

Making a Report

If you’ve been subjected to or have witnessed any form of inappropriate or offensive behaviour, there are two types of reports you can make through Report and Support. You can choose to tell us either anonymously, or by including your name and contact details.

Please note, if reports are submitted anonymously the University is limited in the action it can take, the support we can provide, and the reporter will not receive any information relating to any potential action taken.

Also, Report and Support is not designed to receive urgent reports. If you need immediate support or feel in crisis, we have listed several support and emergency services contact details on the GCU Wellbeing webpages you may find helpful.

If you submit a report in Report and Support and supply your details you will be contacted within two working days of submission of a report. The Report and Support tool is monitored 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and periods of University closure.

Anonymous reporting

Choosing to report anonymously allows students to report an incident without disclosing their personal details. The information you give will help inform prevention work across the university.

Please be aware, if reports are submitted anonymously the University is limited in the action it can take and the reporter will not receive any information relating to any potential action taken. Being unaware of the identity of the reporter, we will not be able to offer advice and support. If you would like to speak to someone, need direct support or guidance, or would like a formal investigation to take place, please choose to disclose your name and contact details and an adviser will contact you.

Reporting with your name and contact details

When you submit a complaint and include your name and contact details a trained adviser from GCU will contact you directly to respond. A formal complaint process can be triggered and you can be kept informed, in line with data protection regulations, of any action taken. We will also be able to provide you with direct advice and support. Our advisors will help you to understand your options, take appropriate action, seek a satisfactory resolution and signpost University and external support services.
