VISA Team Remote Assistance Student Declaration

By confirming acceptance of your VISA Team Drop-in or Appointment via video-call, you agree to the following:

  1. You have read and agreed to the standard GCU Student Terms and Conditions, Student Code of Conduct and relevant GCU Policies. You can find more information on our University regulations, codes and policies. 
  2. You ensure your personal space is free from anything which could be considered a data security issue (e.g. bank details, personal data).
  3. You ensure your personal data and private documents (including that of others) are not visible on your computer if you engage in a screen share appointment.
  4. You have access to the necessary equipment required to complete a video call (e.g. laptop, webcam, smart phone, stable internet connection).
  5. The video call may be terminated at any time by a VISA Advisor where a participant does not adhere to the University regulations, codes and policies.

If your appointment is to submit a visa application, by confirming acceptance of your appointment via video-call, you also agree to the following:

  1. Once you have provided your documents to the VISA Team, you will not make any further changes to the online visa application form unless requested to by the VISA Team.
  2. You may be asked to share your computer screen to review a UKVI visa application to ensure accuracy of the content of your application.
  3. You may be asked for permission for a VISA Advisor to take control of your screen, if you require this assistance with any aspect of the application process.
  4. Your assigned CAS will be accessed by the VISA Team at your submission appointment.  Please refer to your CAS Data Check for details of the CAS. During the submission, you will be provided the CAS Number by the VISA Advisor.
  5. You must have all requested original documents to hand for your submission appointment.
  6. You must adhere to requests by a VISA Advisor for copies of original documents as required for UKVI purposes.
  7. Documents shared between you and the VISA Advisor must be shared securely by email prior to or after the video call.

Failure to adhere to the above requirements will result in your Drop-in or appointment being terminated and the case being referred to management for review.
