Dyslexic and Confident Workshops

In light of COVID 19, we appreciate that starting university this year may bring additional challenges and concerns. The situation is ever changing and we are working to adapt our services to ensure we continue to meet the needs of applicants and students. As a result of this, Dyslexic & Confident will be an online programme for 21/22.

The Disability Team is running a range of workshops for new students with dyslexia to learn strategies and techniques to help you succeed in your studies.

These workshops will look at why and how dyslexia can impact on different aspects of learning. We will explore how support and facilities provided at GCU can help you in being confident and effective in your learning at University. This will include a detailed examination of assistive technologies available in the University and at home, showing how you can use software, devices and apps to aid your study.

We strongly encourage all students new to GCU with a specific learning difficulty to sign up for these workshops. We look forward to meeting you, and working together during your time at GCU.
