Every year we welcome students from our 107 exchange partner universities across Europe through the Erasmus+ programme as well as Australia, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, the U.S. and Vietnam.

How does it work?

1. Apply to your home institution

Your home institution will have an application round for exchange. Please contact your university’s Exchange/Study Abroad Office for more details.

2. You must be nominated to study with us by your home institution

Your university will send the details of the students they would like to send on exchange to GCU. Nomination deadline for spring semester 2018/19 is 5th October.

3. Apply

The Exchange Office at GCU will send you our online application details after the nomination period has passed along with information about applying for accommodation and module options for exchange students. As well as the application you will need to upload:

  • Your official transcript
  • A copy of your passport
  • A motivational letter of 250 words maximum (why do you want to study at GCU?)

Application deadline for spring semester is 2nd November.

4. Approval

After the application deadline, all applications will be passed to the relevant academic department for approval. The Exchange Office will then send your official offer letter, details about applying for a visa if necessary, and other useful information about life at GCU.

It was such a beneficial learning experience, even though we shared different cultures, countries and languages, in time we found we were much more alike than different. I left with great friendships from around the world that will continue in the future.
