Senior Invigilators

The Examinations Office at Glasgow Caledonian University are looking to recruit a number of Senior Invigilators to join our existing team of highly professional Exam Invigilators who will be engaged on a flexible basis for our busy exam diets in January and April/May each year. You will be paid £10.78 per hour.

Senior Invigilators are responsible for the operational aspects of the examination delivery in each exam venue. This includes laying out the appropriate examination materials and question papers and ensuring the record of attendance reconciles with the number of worked examination scripts collected. The Senior Invigilator will also supervise the team of Assistant Invigilators allocated to each exam venue.

The conduct of University examinations is highly regulated and Senior Invigilators are expected to adhere strictly to the regulations and supporting procedures at all times.

Applicants should have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You should have the ability to deliver clear instructions and information both verbally and in writing. Senior invigilators must work successfully as part of a team and must be motivated, reliable and demonstrate high attention to detail. Whilst no experience is necessary and training will be provided, previous experience of Secondary/FE/HE exams would be desirable. You will be required to be available a minimum of one diet of exams per Academic Session and a minimum of three days a week.
