Restaurants and Cafés
Glasgow has a wide variety of restaurants with almost every ethnic type of food. They also span the range of costs. Check out:
The legal drinking age is 18, although there are some pubs and clubs that have an over-21 policy. You are expected to pay for your drink when you order at the bar. It is rare to have waiter/waitress service in pubs. You should not feel obliged to drink more than you want to, or to drink alcoholic drinks. All pubs serve a good selection of soft drinks, fruit juices, mineral waters, and non-alcoholic beers and lagers. Many pubs also serve reasonably priced meals.
There are clubs throughout the city, with DJs offering all kinds of music. Most clubs will want to see your ID to prove that you are over 18. Check The List for up-to-date information.
