Your Email Account

Your student email is managed by Office 365.  

Visit and login with your and your current domain password. Once you're logged into your email, click the Help icon at the top-right for help on using your email account.

You can also download the Outlook App for your mobile device.  Click the Mobile link under the help menu, or visit your device's app store and search for Outlook.

Your student email address is your main registered email address which all University information is sent to. This includes your exam results, service notifications, library reminders, news updates and important issues relating to your studies and life at GCU. You must check it regularly or set it up to forward emails to a personal account that is checked regularly.

Office 365 Apps/Software

Your Office 365 account allows you to download and install Office 2016 applications on up to 5 personal devices for free.

On your PC, Mac, or Laptop

  1. On your PC, Mac, or Laptop, log into your Office 365 account
  2. Click Office 365 at the top left of the page
  3. From here, you can use the Office 365 online applications - just click the app you want to start using or click Install Software to download and install Office 2016 on your device
  4. Follow the instructions to install the applications you want to use
  5. If prompted to sign in, use your University email account and your current domain password

On your mobile device

  1. Visit your device's app store, search for and download the Microsoft apps you want to use
  2. Sign in with your University email account and your current domain password
Leaving GCU

Your student email account will remain active after you leave University and you can continue to use the account if you wish.

Your last-used domain password will continue to allow you access to your email account.  If you need to reset your password, you'll need to contact the Service Desk on 0141 273 1234.

Office 365 Apps

Office 365 Apps are only available to current registered students.  Access to all applications will be removed when you leave University.
