Our registration team will send you a registration instruction email to invite you to register when your course opens. To make sure your email does not go into your junk folder, add registration@gcu.ac.uk to your known senders. 

Below you will find important information relevant to you as well as registration deadlines for students starting with us in Trimester A of 2021-22.

New Students 2021/22

We are looking forward to welcoming our new students in Trimester A for the 2021/22 session. 

New students will receive their registration emails from mid-August 2021. This is a staged process, however if you have not received your registration email two weeks before your course start date send us an email, including your student ID and course title so we can forward these to you.  During the registration process you must upload a photograph for your student card to be produced.  Once you have completed all stages, we will send your student card to your term time address that you provide during registration.  We will be sending cards throughout September to all students.

We would usually ask students who have applied for funding to bring in their award letters to be scanned.  This year, we will be reconciling your information directly with SAAS/SLC so that we can confirm registrations automatically once you have completed online registration.  Please ensure that you use the same information with both GCU and your funding body to prevent any delays with your payments.

Registration deadlines 2021/22

The deadline for completing your registration is two weeks after your  course start date.  

Deadlines for Trimester A 2021/22 Registration

For all courses starting on the 28th  September 2021 - You must register by the 12th October 2021.

Research courses starting on the 1st October 2021 - You must register by the 15th October 2021.

If you start on a different date and you are unsure of your deadline, check with your academic school to confirm. Late registrations are not guaranteed and will only be granted under exceptional circumstances.  All late registrations need to be approved by the academic registrar.  

If you are going to be late you must notify your academic school of this as soon as possible.  International students will also need to notify the VISA team.  

Continuing students - 2021/22

Continuing student registration for 2021/22 will commence later than usual for the new academic session.  Students will start being invited to register from the beginning of August 2021.  Further details will be posted on our webpages nearer the time.
