If you are currently enrolled at a university which is not one of our partners, you can still apply to come to GCU for a semester or academic year. Please note that Study Abroad students need to pay fees per module taken.

How does it work?

1. Research

Research the programmes available at GCU but bear in mind that modules are subject to change.

2. Apply

Write to incomingstudents@gcu.ac.uk to express your interest in studying with us. Please tell us the university you are coming from, which trimester you would like to spend with us and your field of studies. We will then provide you with the application details along with information about applying for accommodation and module options for study abroad students. As well as the application you will need to upload:

  • Your official transcript
  • A copy of your passport
  • A motivational letter of 250 words maximum (why do you want to study at GCU?)

Applications for Autumn Semester will open in May.  Winter Semester applications will open in October.

3. Approval

After the application deadline, all applications will be passed to the relevant academic department for approval. The Exchange Office will then send your official offer letter, details about applying for a visa if necessary, and other useful information about life at GCU.
